What is LOVEtale?: LOVEtale is an AU (Alternate Universe) of Undertale where the monsters of the Underground collect and or gain LOVE (LV: Level of Violence) to either get stronger or to conduct experiments on LOVE, there are also some that only gain LOVE to get money. Because of the monsters obsession for LOVE, Asgore Dreemur, the king of the underground and monsters, pleaded the humans to trap them all underground where Asgore can keep an eye on every monster and try to change there ways, that they don't need LOVE to be happy. Asgore has manage to succeed in this as Alphys announced that too much LOVE can turn the monsters to dust, but despite that information, there are some monsters that still wish to gain LOVE but there are some that absolutely hate it. But despite the monsters desires to gain LOVE, not everyone of em are willing to kill each other for it. So, they either wait for a human to come to collect there SOUL to gain LOVE or if desperation gets to them, try to kill Asgore whom has enough magic to pass the barrier that keeps the monsters trapped underground.

Papyrus the Skeleton: Papyrus is a skeleton scientist that normally is interested in learning about the secret of the SOUL or SOUL power. He resides in Snowdin within a wooden house that has an attached observatory which he barely ever uses for anything but a library. Papyrus is actually quite a friendly skeleton and longs to make more friends. He's also often optimistic even when things look down. The only thing keeping him from making a human friend would be his supposedly missing brother Sans whom is lying to humans about him being dangerous. Papyrus has no idea Sans is still alive and has no idea that Sans is collecting LOVE for Gaster.
Papyrus had lost Sans when he was only 15 years old, having no clue his old college friend W.D Gaster took Sans away and lied to him and is using him. Papyrus as well longs to be reunited with his long lost brother and had become slightly less optimistic, often busying himself by building puzzles, studying or making spaghetti.
Papyrus is one of the monsters that absolutely detest's LOVE. He is against hurting anyone just to obtain power and will not hesitate to use his own magic to protect the innocent from harm. Often taking the hero role when someone's in danger. However, this does not mean Papyrus will not accept Sans back, he truly cares about his brother no matter what, even if he were to find out his own brother had collected LOVE.
When Sans went missing: When Sans went missing at the age of 15, Papyrus became somewhat less optimistic and a workaholic. Often busying himself with puzzle making, cooking his favorite food, spaghetti and studying, even building other gadgets late at night. Because of it, he has become quite sleep deprive and often falls asleep on his desk.
Mr. Browns: The teddy bear in Pap's pocket is Sans's old bear from when he was 8 years old whom is named Mr. Browns. Pap is never seen without it as it was the symbolization of how much Papyrus cared for Sans and how badly he missed him. The bear is so his memory of Sans never fades.
Unmarked and no LOVE: Papyrus is one of those monsters that DO NOT collect LOVE nor would want anything to do with it. Despite Papyrus's interest in SOUL power and studying SOUL's he does not approve of anyone being hurt just to obtain LOVE. Because Papyrus doesn't collect LOVE, his SOUL stays a normal upside down and his body has no markings that signify he's ever killed anyone.
Pap's eye: Papyrus possesses quite the strong magic despite never collecting LOVE. He mostly uses it to defend others. But when he becomes furious his eye ignites into a blaze of orange and yellow, thus making him stronger.
||More LOVEtale reference! This time Papyrus! I made him a scientist and had him be a bit serious. But worry not, he is still a precious cinnamon roll despite some differences on him in this AU. He still of course refers to himself as GREAT and still goes "NYEH HEH HEH" so hope you enjoy!||
